WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST WEAKNESS?
July 21st, 2006
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer in an interview. I can’t tell you the number of time an offer has been “LOST” due to an “inappropriate” answer to this one question.
When you are asked this question, try to provide an answer that is really NOT a weakness.
Examples:
My greatest weakness is I’m a workaholic!
My greatest weakness is I just can’t say NO, my my previous employers loved that about me!
My greatest weakness is I have to learn your policies and procedures, so there will be a slight “learning curve.”
My greatest weakness is “interviewing.” You can see my stable work history which has not given me much interviewing experience.
My greatest weakness is always looking for additional work. I love to be kept busy.
I’m sure you now get the idea. Make this response as positive as you can and you WILL receive more job offers.
